Have his cronies pilloried Chris Huhne for his criminality, his barefaced lying, his blatant deception to hang onto a MPs salary & expenses, and a Cabinet Minister’s salary to boot, money that he clearly wasn’t entitled to, his damage to the Liberal Democrat Party and the further harm to the reputation of MPs? Are they aghast about the massive cost to the taxpayer and loss of resources resulting from his vain attempt to flout the law and abuse due process?

Well ‘No’       they are ‘saddened’ and see it as a ‘personal tragedy’. Well taxpayers are ‘sickened’ – not least because we will now have to pay out even more to keep him in a cushy prison.
